This is the first volume of Wagner's Ring Cycle Published in 1910 by William Heinemann and Doubleday-Page, London, and New York and printed by Ballantyne & Co. Ltd., London. A very good copy, nicely rebound by Zaehnsdorf, translated by Margaret Armour and illustrated by Rackham with the Frontispiece and thirty-three mounted color plates with captioned tissue-guards. Number 507 of just 1150 NUMBERED COPIES, with 150 reserved for sale in the United States. SIGNED by ARTHUR RACKHAM as called for on the Limitation Page. Condition: 4to, 11 1/2" x 9 1/2 Rebound in calf-backed boards over marbled paper with matching endpapers, spine gilt in 6 compartments, top-edge gilt; leather worn and cracked along the spine with the joints split, leather corners bumped. Some toning and foxing to a few interior pages. Generally, sound otherwise.
