A very good copy of the May 1938 "Arundel" Edition of Trending into Maine. A first printing and a limited-edition of 1075 copies with this being #679, and published by Little Brown and Company, Boston. Signed on the Colophon page as called for by both author Kenneth Roberts and famed illustrator N.C. Wyeth. This set includes a new custom cloth slipcase and the extra suite of 14 color Wyeth plates from The Tudor Press, Inc., Boston. Condition: 8vo. 384 pages plus the Index - Publishers' quarter white cloth over blue with leather spine label stamped in gilt with deckle fore and bottom edges. The front board slightly cocked with sunning and fading to the blue cloth, most notable on the front cover. The attractive bookplate of Penelope Westcott Jamison affixed to the front illustrated endpaper. Some chipping, creasing and a few tears to the envelope holding the suite of plates. A new custom slipcase features blue cloth with blue leather spine in fine condition. Overall, a nice set of this popular title signed by both Roberts and N.C. Wyeth.
