'Swanie' Swanson and reads in part; "My novel "Aurora Dawn," is a Book of the Month Club selection for May. This is information not yet released to newspapers, so please use it guardedly, only if necessary, until you see the word in the press. Cordially, Herman Wouk."**Swanson in his time was one of Americas top Literary agents. His clients included F. Scott Fitzgerald, Pearl Buck, Raymond Chandler and William Faulkner. (8vo) 241pp. First printing, Blue/Grey cloth stamped in violet and gilt. Softening to the spine ends, sunning to cloth edges, foxing to the outer and lower edges. The interior is in nice condition with some toning/foxing to a few of the preliminary pages and to the endpapers. The unclipped jacket is in good+ condition with edgewear, chipping to the folds and spine ends, wear along the flap folds and spine, sunning to the spine and toning to the rear cover.
