A January 1929 First Edition and Second Impression published by Victor Gollancz Ltd. signed and inscribed on the first free end page in fountain pen to prolific British character actor George Zucco, "Dear George, Will you accept this book with my thanks and gratitude for your fine performance of 'Osborne' and your deep understanding of my play? Yours sincerely, R.C. Sherriff, 8th Feb. 1929 to George Zucco Esq." Condition: 8vo. 128 pages - cloth bound copy with paper label on the spine. Cloth is rubbed and chipped along the edges, corners and spine. A white mark visible on the rear boards that most probably be removed. The interior is in nice condition with some toning to the end pages. Included is a scarce June 17th, 1929, program for Journey's End at the Prince of Wales' Theatre priced at 6D. with a sticker on the front and rear covers. The nightly program from the John Whale produced play starring George Zucco, Reginald Smith and Colin Clive is in very good condition, and features Twenty-four pages of ads, Gossip and London theatre news.
