A very good set of the 1901 and 1902 first editions with the same date to the title and copyright pages. Illustrated by Peter Newell and published by Harper and Brothers, New York, and London. Gilt-lettered cream-colored parchment with gilt stamped print and decoration, top-edges gilt, and all other edges untrimmed. Beautifully illustrated by Newell with over 80 leaves of plates in tint plus the tissue guarded frontis portraits of Carroll and Newell. Additional decorations and ornamental borders by Robert Murray Wright. 
 
Alices Adventures in Wonderland - 1901 - 8vo. 193 pp.  A very good copy with the cover soiled, extremities rubbed, corners bumped and chipping to spine ends. Boards are tanned, spine is browned as is usual and the Previous owner's bookplate and signature are on the front endpapers. Hinges a bit loose, a few pages are offset and the Lewis Carroll frontis portrait has a small separation at the lower edge. 
 
Through the Looking-Glass - 1902 - 8vo. 211 pp. A very good or better copy with just light edgewear, some toning to the boards, browning to the spine and some softening to the spine ends. The interior aside from light toning to the endpapers is in beautiful condition.
