1949 early Typed Signed Norman Rockwell Letter ~ Description: TLS, one page, 5.75 x 6.75, Rockwell's personal Arlington, Vermont letterhead, dated March 20, 1949. Includes the original 3" x 6" stamped and addressed envelope. Letter to sixth grade students at the Rufus Choate School in Essex, Ma.  in Part: " I've more than enjoyed your letter and the poems written by some of the members of your grade - they are certainly very good and rather flatter me, I think!" Near fine with thumb tack holes at the top and a bit of soiling on the envelope.  Norman Rockwell lived and worked in the small community of Arlington, Vermont from 1939 - 1953. Signed letters from this period are quite scarce.
