A very good two volume set of the signed 1937 limited edition of Kenneth Roberts Northwest Passage. A Special First Edition published June 25th,1937, by Doubleday Doran in New York and limited to 1000 copies for sale with this being #972. Lacking the paper slipcase and dust jacket. Volume II is an appendix containing Historical background information of Major Robert Rogers and the Court Martial of Lt. Samuel Stephens. Condition: 8vo. Vol. I - 709 pages, Vol. II - 197 pages - Publishers red cloth boards with map endpapers, gilt topstain and gilt stamped titles to the spines. A few finger smudges to the cloth. Toning to the gutters of the endpapers as is usual. A previous owners name and 1938 date in ink to the title page of volume I, some softening to the spine ends and foxing to the verso of the rear map endpaper of Volume I. The front blank flyleaf of Volume II has been removed, and there is some uneven toning to the half title page. Overall, a very good set of this 1937 Special Edition signed by Kenneth Roberts on the Limitation page.
