A rare and outstanding signed and dated copy of the 1925 first edition of Roan Stallion, Tamar and other poems Inscribed by Jeffers at Tor House in 1934 on the front free endpaper, "Inscribed for M.S. Slocum with cordial pleasure of his visit here. Sincerely, Robinson Jeffers - Tor House, Carmel. - September 1934." A very good copy of the Boni and Liveright first Trade edition in a very good, unclipped dust jacket and a fine custom cloth slipcase with leather spine label. Tamar was privately printed in the previous year. (Broomfield A5). Condition: 8vo. 335 pages - Cloth-backed boards, cover and spine stamped in gilt, dust jacket, custom cloth slipcase. The Jacket with the $3.00 price has some darkening to the spine, edges are chipped with some loss, slight softening and wear to books spine; occasional light dampstain to bottom of a few leaves; Overall, very good in like jacket now protected in a Brodart cover and housed in a beautiful custom cloth slipcase.
