A very good+ copy of the First edition (G-W date code on copyright page) in the extremely rare and unclipped dust jacket also in very good+ condition. 8vo. 394pp. Bound in finely woven green cloth stamped brightly in gilt along with the photographic paste-down of Grey on the front boards. Heavy stock paper with deckle edges and loaded with black and white photos of Zane Grey's adventures in Colorado, Death Valley,  the Tonto Basin, Roping Lions in the Grand Canyon and more. Condition: Light wear to edges and corners, browning to the spine and softening to the spine ends. The book is square, the binding is tight although hinges are a bit loose. Toning to endpapers and some page edges with intermittent foxing throughout. Small bookseller label to lower rear endpaper along with inventory number and price marked in pencil. The jacket with the $3.00 price is remarkably well preserved with heavy toning to the once white paper, some chipping to the lower front cover and spine ends and a couple of chips to the upper left front cover. The jacket is rare in any condition and much coveted by collectors and this is a beauty!
