A very good or better copy of the 1935 First edition in a very good, unclipped dust jacket. 'Of time and the River' was Wolfe's follow up to 'Look Homeward Angel.' It would be his final novel, as Thomas Wolfe died in 1938 at the age of thirty-seven. It is a first printing with the "A" and Scribner's seal on the copyright page, with the $3.00 price on the front flap and the Ossip Garber photo of Wolfe on the back cover. Condition: 8vo. 912 pages - Scribner's black cloth boards with gilt print blocked in green with gold rules on both the front board and spine. A bit of discoloration to the black cloth along the edges and some softening to the spine tips. The attractive first state dust jacket is chipped at the fold and spine ends and shows a little toning to the flaps and back cover.
