Life of an American Workman. Limited edition of 500 copies. NY: Privately printed by William E. Rudge's Sons, New York 1937. Leather-bound hardcover with slipcase, 6.5 x 10, 203 pages. Top edge gilt, gilt facsimile signature to the front cover and gilt titles to the spine. A Rare Presentation and Association copy Signed and inscribed on an opening page in bold black ink, "To: Mr. H. H. Ramsay, In appreciation of your friendship, W. P. Chrysler, 12/31/37." One of an unknown quantity of unnumbered copies set aside for Chrysler for presentation to friends and associates. In near fine condition with a bit of rubbing to the leather spine and spine tips, and with light wear to the slipcase.

 

*Herbert Hartley Ramsay (February 16, 1887 - January 27, 1939) was a friend of Walter Chrysler, and a prominent New York attorney who would go on to become president of the USGA (United States Golf Association) in 1931-1932.  He was also the sports color broadcaster for the very first Masters Tournament in 1934 in Augusta, Georgia.
